James Ransome is the award-winning illustrator of over twenty books for children. He is a two-time recipient of the Coretta Scott King Award for Illustration for The Creation and Uncle Jed’s Barbershop. A graduate of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, James lives with his family in upstate New York. A lover of the Christmas season himself, James set out to create a universal treasury for readers of all ages.

A beautifully written and illustrated Christmas book!

I just LOVE this book. It is absolutely beautiful. The illustrations are gorgeous. Each story is different, yet has such a warm, magical, Christmas feel to them. This book is a treasure! I have bought three this year to give as gifts!

I bought this book and several others by James Ransome and have never been disappointed. The money was very well spent. I'm a teacher and have read James' books to my students and they love them just as much as I do. Once you've read his books I'm pretty sure there will be a special place in your heart for each story. Not only are the stories fabulous but the illustrations are so beautiful that there aren't enough words to describe them. Mr. Ransome is truly a gifted and talented man.
